Air Purifiers

Pure breathing air a prerequisite for good health!

The quality of the indoor air we breathe determines our health and well-being. The less dust, fewer allergens, micro-organisms and chemical contaminants we breathe in, the lower the risk of becoming sick.

Indoor air pollution: an international health problem!

According to recent studies by the leading institutions WHO (World Health Organisation) and EPA (US Environmental Protection Agency), the indoor air in our living, working and mobility areas is often 2 to 5 and even up to 100 times more polluted than the air outside due to biological and chemical loads!

The problem is compounded by the modern mode of energy-efficient construction. As a result, inadequate ventilation often causes undisturbed expansion in our indoor spaces of bacteria, viruses, house dust mites, mould, particulate matter and pollen.

Reason enough to devote your full attention to the quality of your indoor air.

Main causes of an unhealthy indoor environment

Fine dust
are solid particles that are smaller than 10 micrometres. These particles can cause serious health problems such as worsening symptoms in people with respiratory diseases (asthma, COPD) and cardiovascular diseases, and inhaling particulate matter has an adverse effect on lung development in children.

Pollen, mould, mould spores, dust mite allergens and other allergens
can cause hay fever, asthma and other allergic reactions. Even short-term contact with higher concentrations of microscopic dust particles can contribute to the development of heart disease.

Microorganisms
such as viruses, bacteria and fungal spores cause tuberculosis, influenza, Aspergillosis (caused by mould), MRSA (hospital bacteria) and SARS.

Pet allergens
are generally found in saliva and therefore on pet hair and skin. If allergens are inhaled, it can lead to severe allergic reactions.

Tobacco smoke
contains thousands of chemicals and suspended particles, which irritate the mucous membranes which can lead to acute and chronic diseases.

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
are chemical gases, which are emitted by vehicles, building materials and industrial work materials. They can be carcinogenic and damage the internal organs. New home décor or furniture can emit gases and volatile organic compounds.

Smog and ozone
even at low concentrations, can cause irritation of the respiratory tract and therefore asthma attacks. While these air pollutants predominantly originate in the outdoor environment, they can enter buildings through doors, windows and ventilation ducts.

Cleaning products, sprays and solvents
can irritate mucous membranes and intensify allergies, such as asthma and hay fever.
